no need for violence, no need for threats. Just do what i advised months ago & don't vote! Do not waste your shoe leather. Local elections in May, do not vote! It's no good saying the way to change things is to vote them out; you can't, there's too many of them. Complicity rules. Politics has to have a massive long hard look at itself. Don't vote!

I share your frustration but if the moderate majority decide not to vote, the extremists get elected. Local council are very different from National elections and turn outs are usually very low anyway. The referendum did show that more people care about the EU than are willing to vote for an MP.

the odd extremist might be a blessing, sageform. The status quo has to change. It's not just the moderates i'm appealing to; it's everyone

That is exactly what has happens in the EU elections due to 35% turnout - we end up represented by loonies with the sole intent of
causing havoc

If you spoil you paper it gets counted - it would be very entertaining as a protest vote if "spoilt papers" were to get a majority in a constituency but no doubt the named individual with the next highest total would still feel comfortable that they had "won" the seat.

Worth changing your name by deed poll and losing your deposit just to have the returning officer read out "nonov des coonts"

i'm thinking of organising a sandwich board protest, with "Don't vote for me" on the front & "Don't vote for any of the lying bastards" on the back
Report dustybin April 4, 2019 4:49 PM BST
not voting wont do help since somebody will
so you have to actually vote the daftest vote you can

ah but if you do it my way & then Sky news offer me a lucrative contract after Joey Essex is elected MP for Braintree, i can say "Not my fault" when Joey bankrupts the constituancy

Bray and all the other nutters protesting outside parliament should be rounded up and put in a compound somewhere bleak (like a Welsh valley) where they can shout at each other without annoying the rest of us.

i was thinking more of a Gulag, Mr Bula. Funny how he's never been arrested - isn't it?
