Where do you live tober, the Shetland Islands?
the warm weather in February was more than a couple of days in south east and since then there's been many days where the temperature has been 10°c-14°c in the south east, I know that because I check the bbc weather site every day, winters in the last few years feel a lot warmer than they used to and shorter, also know that by energy bills fron Nov-Feb and that's with price rises, switching the heating on a lot less. |

Tobermory might live in Tobermory ...up there it's winter 12 months a year , p1ssin down with rain
seriously though ,in eastern England this year my lavender has survived the whole winter (and flowered) ...my Rosemary bush also has flowered over winter and a lone surviving bedding plant still in flower ...lowest temperature has been 0c . There were 8 days in total of warm weather in February . .... otherwise 5 months of 10c temps and frequent overcast days are quite common from Nov - Mar inclusive so yes , maybe a 5 month winter by say Canary island standards ...but we're on the same latitude as Canada ...only Ireland is warmer in winter than the UK at 50 N ...and it's always raining there too |
