Finally, the whole question of gender identity is being tackled in an organised manner . The launching of WARGA -World Association for the Regulation of Gender Assignment- offers hope to people who are routinely confused or insulted on a daily basis about their gendered identity. This body will liaise with national governments and international organisations to update and apply legislation where needed ,dealing with practical matters like removing simple binary choices on forms , tickets , licences , legislation - proportionate representation for LGBTQIA+ people in media ,on boards etc. The body will also offer consultancy and legal support in cases of dispute.
Funding for the initiative has been provided from philanthropic sources and private endowments with the headquarters to be located in Berlin.
A brighter future undoubtedly beckons for all those who exist precariously on the outer perimeter of 'normality' and social acceptance.

It was definitely easier when forms just said m or f, with all these other options it is going to be easy to be confused

Nobody should be insulted, you mean people do not know what sex from day to day, that is confused???????????? This is also an invasion of privacy in my opinion. I would have thought most people would regard their sexusl inclinations as their own affair. |
