i caught half a concert in newcastle, lucky to get in having arrived late.
brilliant to see them , having had album, i just cant stop it ,and usa version
by the english beat as they were known over in the states.

i'm also late with the first post here , it was of course tuesday 26 he died.

The Ska revival in the late 70's early 80's was fantastic and opened us up to the original Ska Bands. The Beat and Roger were foremost in that revival.

Very sad for him and his family. A little more poignant as I just turned 56 myself!

I am not a muso so would love to hear about him an his influence from people who know.

Fcek me, it would appear The Guardian and The Independent donk't know who he was or what he did or rather don't employ anybody who did, shocking! Tbf late night? I want to see what these papers publish tomorrow and the weekend.

I grew up listening  to and enjoying a lot of the 2Tone music, Happy Times.
