Will we ever find out what really happened? I doubt if we ever will in our lifetime. One thing for sure, it was definitely not a weather balloon.

It`s possible that it came from another world.
Another theory is that it was a Russian flying saucer spying on Roswell. That is possible too, as it is well documented that the Russians captured flying saucers that the Nazis were developing and many German scientists that were working on the project.
Jackie Gleason was taken to Wright Air Base by his friend President Richard M Nixon and was shown bodies of small aliens in glass cases, so the first theory is possible too, unless the Gleasons were telling lies.

If the truth was ever fully told people would still not be happy, unless the truth was aliens.
If Nixon could orchestrate "Watergate" then he sure could show his best friend Aliens from the Roswell crash. It`s possible.
If there has been alien contact I'd expect President Trump to let it be known. Maybe after his presidency, so we'll have to wait until 2024/25.
plenty of better & finer examples than Roswell have appeared over the decades. Makes you wonder why Roswell keeps being brought up as an example by believers & non-believers
