Just happened in the last hour.

BBC should have one of their mickey mouse reporters there by now, so why are they covering it up?

May have been an escalator collapse.

Not terror?

Initially guests reported hearing "shots" and "detonations". It later emerged the noises were due to an escalator loudly malfunctioning.

MARNE-LA-VALLÉE, France -  An apparent escalator failure was mistaken for gunshots and caused a brief panic at Disneyland Paris, sending the park into a lockdown while police secured the area.

Initial reports via Twitter suggested that there were gunshots in the park prompting a lockdown.

Several people were injured during the evacuation, according to digital news service Actu17.

Disneyland Paris, which was originally known as Euro Disney Resort, is located in Marne-la-Vallée, France, a town located 20 miles east of downtown Paris.

If I ever found myself at Disneyland I'd probably want to evacuate quickly too.
