Stop and Search , If your carrying and reason to Believe you are involved in Gang warfare , Bang up 3 years Auto. its 5 for carrying a Gun
BUT GIVEN THEM A CHOICE 3 years in Jail or a Year in the army ,Perhaps when the Kids realise they can Learn to Drive, Earn a half decent Living Learn a trade
and earn a Different Kind of respect, They will change ,If they don't Like it they can Return to the Jail Route Their Choice ....
There is much more chance of them being Killed on the street than in the army , Get them away from the Gang caper , After the year they can stay on if
they like ...

Prisons in the UK are not intimidating enough to scare people, if they were there wouldn't be so many reoffenders, a bit like giving birth, it's tolerable so women have more than 1 child otherwise if it was so painful they'd only have 1, watch prison documentaries in US and Russia, it's hardcore, our prisons in comparisons are like creches, full of toys and games.

(Don't want to worry you S_H but again I concur, having seen the low, low crime (first hand) rate in Singapore I can say horrible prison conditions and corporal punishment have worked since 1965.

I saw a program about a Russian prison in Siberia....that was grim
This was only for the worst offenders though. How hard do we want to make Prison, it is hardly a home from home |
