£1 for a 400g tin. Assuming a litre of diesel weighs 1000g (as water does) and costs around the £1.30 mark then custard is roughly twice as dear as diesel.

You need to get down to the Aldi lybertyne. Their custard is so thick you have to squeeze it out of the carton.
Then rip the carton apart in order to lick the sides. |

I like to mix it with porage oats, add a chopped banana (or 2) and sprinkle some hot choc powder on.

Highly sweetened milk thickened with starch. Wouldn't fresh cream be a better choice? I know it's a matter of taste but I prefer cream.

You could try making your own (something I do, if I don't have a tin at the time)!
You will find that, when you add the cost of all the ingredients, you wont be far from £1.00 in any case! |
