'Egg' is too vague Silly

Scrambled would be my choice. Sausagesssss (what's all this one banger nonsense we get given!!)

Hash Brown - no!
Tomato - not for me
Black Pudding - Hmm, maybe.
Haggis - only when in Sweatyland

So to conclude:

Scrambled eggs
Sausages
Bacon
Baked Beans

Pot of tea. No toast.

I had to work away for a while and stayed in a B&B where the generous hosts gave me a huge full breakfast every morning.
I've never put on weight so quickly in my life!
So can I add

I prefer poached eggs to fried. Never had a fried slice - sounds good. Never had black pudding. Never even seen it.
Report paulypaul March 17, 2019 1:01 PM GMT
Bubble and squeak - Absolutely

I can't stand baked beans with a full English..the yolk of the egg in the beans is grim.

Each to their own!
Report terry mccann March 17, 2019 1:04 PM GMT
Very important to make sure the beans don't touch the eggsHappy

I've been having wholemeal bread or similar on my lunch time sandwiches for years now because apparently they are so much healthier than white bread. Anyway today for some reason the wife buys a white loaf and and gives me a white bread sandwich and I'm like FxckinHell!!! How good is this?? I'd forgotten how lovely white bread is!! It's almost worth taking decades off your life just to eat a white bread sandwich. Sometimes I wonder- seriously- is eating wholemeal bread going to make you live longer??

I can do without baked beans on a fry up.

I’m a big fan of a fry up. For my money it’s best to keep things simple. I had one at a very up market restaurant yesterday and they ballsed it right up - beans were served in a tiny thimble like cup. Only one sausage and rasher of bacon and they even put some parsley on the plate.

For my money, this is what the perfect one looks like:

Three sausages. Proper butchers sausages.
Three rashers of very thick bacon. Crispy but not over-done.
Baked beans.
I’m not a fan of fried eggs so definitely scrambled.
Bread and butter.
Pot of tea.

No hash browns or black pudding for me.

Lovely.

Scrambled eggs in a fry up?? Yuck. There is no better flavour than when bacon meets runny yolk.
Report Jack Hacksaw March 17, 2019 2:41 PM GMT
Best quality bacon
Best quality sausages
Pigs Plonk
Mushrooms
Fried Egg
Grilled tomato (never tinned)
Beans in a ramekin
Thick cut hot low GI toast

Thick cut marmalade to accompany any remaining toast.

nb  The egg and beans must never come into contact.

I love scrambled egg but it has no place in a fry up.

I do a full English every couple of weeks....

My butchers in-house smoked back bacon
His Cumberland Sausages
His own Black Pudding
Fried Eggs, proper free range from my neighbour.
Mushrooms - nothing posh, just supermarket ordinary, but sauteed in half butter and half oil with lots of salt and pepper
Fried Bread - from a standard white Farmhouse loaf - You cannot make proper fried bread without white bread. Hth

I do not do tomatoes unless we have guests for breakfast, then I halve them and fry them with the eggs.  A couple of times a year, I do a full brunch and do all the above plus Lambs Kidneys and a proper Kedgeree.

Plum tomatoes with a full english; God forbidCrazy, although they are very nice with Gammon SteakWink.
