She treated 9 of us to a Chinese meal at pearl city in Manchester near Piccadilly we've been there loads and loads of times for the three course meal at dinner which is always great we love the crispy noodles with our beef chow mein and it's only 6-90   8 of the 9 had the beef chow mein and one had veg chow mein everything was great and the place was full of Chinese .when a mouse or rat (the debate is still going on )ran across the floor and then my 10 year old grandson shouted there's a mouse running about and all hell was let loose .he then said as we left grandad get a big handful of them toffees in the glass bowl on the counter when you leave

Happy Birthday to your daughter DooWah!

I remember in the 70s, no one ever got cheeky with the Chinese, in case they were Kung Fu experts.

My ex wife and my two daughters took my grand daughter to London  for the weekend 6years ago for her 16th birthday .it was raining when they got there and windy and it was November and cold .They saw the Ritz hotel and my ex wife said let's get out of the cold and I'll treat you all to afternoon tea .they said the doorman with the top hat walked off down the street when he saw them .he didn't open the door for them they had their bags with Primark and the one pound shop bags with them and they were soaking .they went to the desk and said we would like a price list .my ex wife said she nearly feignted when she saw the prices but thought I've promised them so I'll pay for it .they told the person at the desk they would like afternoon tea and they thought she looked at them funnilee when she called the consigneur or what ever he's called over

He said I believe you would like afternoon tea .when madam and my ex wife said like now please he said were booked up till April and they said he had a big smile on his face

Happy birthday to your daughter today Do wah Diddy. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food personally as I find it a bit greasy but I do like crispy duck with pancakes, cucumber, spring onions and hoisin sauce when I'm in the mood.

Slippy when I had tons of money untill the alcohol and heavy gambling took it all away and inhad my breakdown I used to eat anywhere and have the best of what was on offer .but now I have very little .i have to be choosy and this afternoon special suits me down to the ground

All those things you mention are on the main menu and I can't afford them .also if I had the money it would be the best steak or and Indian Pakistani meal

The mighty mack I wasn't scared of the Kung Fu Chinamen as they knew I had my friend fudge who was in the quality street gang and hazel nut who didn't have  gloves to cover her fingers but knuckle dusters .the quality street gang were well respected in Manchester and milk chocolate Harry and  marzipan mad mick were feared as much as the kray twins

The only thing that annoyed me was going back to my daughter's in her car with my ex wife .I wanted to teach them about Tommy Robinson and how he's been persecuted and all they kept doing was to turn the radio up loud as soon as I mentioned his name

Tommy Robinson thinks it's all the establishment that's the problem he doesn't realise my family won't let me talk about it and shut me up

Joel no we don't get prawn crackers as we all start fighting over things like that where they put a communal dish Full of them .my ex wife doesn't like us all arguing over them .she always says i take the most and that I'm not bothered about any one else .and then she starts bringing up the past when I drank and gambled our marriage away .so we've learnt not to get communal food

I've told her in the past that I don't take more of the China tea than anyone else and she says in an unfriendly manner only because your not all that keen on China tea
