I DONT LIKE FAT CHIIPS(I know what your thinking we'll don't buy them) but I want thin chips
Probably, dripping quality has gone down in many shops, quite a price range out there. You can sometimes actually taste the meat fat stuck to your throat if you eat em with a cold drink. Very hot tea with em for me .

Diddy - you may wish to get your Mini Fish and Chips from Morrisons instead. They do a very nice line in that (with THIN chips) and the price is very reasonable.
I would very much like to experience a High Level Summit Meeting with you next time I am in a Morrisons cafe in Greater Manchester. Your good sense is needed on any number of pressing modern matters.
I'll be having the large fish and chips though. And bread and butter, and a pot of tea.

Wetherspoons do a good fish and chips with a drink on a Friday.
You get a large piece of battered cod, a few peas and bog standard chips.
Very good value.

Don't know if you have them where you live, but here in North Yorks, we don't just have a fork, but a useful tool called a knife!
I know that where you are, knives are bad news, but keep one at home, and they are extremely useful for cutting chips, to the preferred size!
Also, a simple technique is to squash the chips, to the preferred dimensions!
I'm sure that, if you need guidance on this difficult technique, you will find inspiration on YouTube!

Lady fav Gerrit thats the kind of answer my ex wife would have given me use a knife to cut them . you and her don't realise for every chip you cut in half there will be two uncooked ends to contend with looking at you

Think you will find your fish Friday at spoons is not the same as the fish on the menu other days ,Fridays fish ain’t cod ,it’s a small “white fish” bassa imo ...I know my fish and it a Cod or a Haddock ,pretty sure it ain’t on menu as cod/haddock either .

“Fish friday! £6.09 for our hand battered cod and chips with an alcoholic drink” (the fish is 8 oz I think)
Why are people so happy to peddle urban myths without checking the truth. Disgraceful really, do you tell everyone that they buy out of date beer also? And what about them beaks in chicken nuggets?
