I prefer chunky chips soaked in vinegar. Fish and chips were better when I was a lad, perhaps it was the dripping they cooked them in.

Probably, dripping quality has gone down in many shops, quite a price range out there. You can sometimes actually taste the meat fat stuck to your throat if you eat em with a cold drink. Very hot tea with em for me .

Healthy artery clogging oil, is better than unhealthy artery clogging meat dripping.
You'll still get a heart attack, but it will be a healthy one. |

Diddy - you may wish to get your Mini Fish and Chips from Morrisons instead. They do a very nice line in that (with THIN chips) and the price is very reasonable.
I would very much like to experience a High Level Summit Meeting with you next time I am in a Morrisons cafe in Greater Manchester. Your good sense is needed on any number of pressing modern matters. I'll be having the large fish and chips though. And bread and butter, and a pot of tea. |

Wetherspoons do a good fish and chips with a drink on a Friday.
You get a large piece of battered cod, a few peas and bog standard chips. Very good value. |

Do wha Diddy...
Don't know if you have them where you live, but here in North Yorks, we don't just have a fork, but a useful tool called a knife! I know that where you are, knives are bad news, but keep one at home, and they are extremely useful for cutting chips, to the preferred size! Also, a simple technique is to squash the chips, to the preferred dimensions! I'm sure that, if you need guidance on this difficult technique, you will find inspiration on YouTube! |

Disgraceful really, do you tell everyone that they buy out of date beer also? And what about them beaks in chicken nuggets? ![]() |

By:
I loved the buying short dated beer thing. It may have been the case originally, when he first set up but some people still believe it.
