Once again an outstanding performance of malechickenwombling on Politics Live. Pulling the "Brexit voters are racist" card with a sneer that makes you wonder how he can go a day without someone flattening him.

The other guy didn't impress me anyway but Will Self is always like that. The way he was sort of leaning towards the other guy sneering at him as he spoke though....
Self always loves to use big words to attempt to persuade easily impressed people that he is clever, but repeatedly using the word "machiavellianesque" (or similar) today sounded like he was running out of ideas and couldn't think of anything better. 2/10 on the will self tw@t-meter. |

Staring contest aside (it was hilarious) – a piece earlier in the program highlighted a real problem with people’s opinions of those who want to control immigration.
There was an interview with the leader of “The Movement” who said he had no problem with immigration from other religions/cultures as long as the immigrants respected his country’s culture/traditions. The interviewer’s response was “isn’t that just racist”!!  |

Will Self makes an observation which Mark Francois hasn't got the intelligence to understand even though it's so simple a 10 year old would and someone starts a thread criticising Self in the same way as Francois did. You really couldn't make it up.

If the Tory (or anyone for that matter) had said "not all terrorists are muslims but all muslims are terrorists", the very tactic that Self and his SJW apologists are trying here, social media would erupt, the Tory wuld be called a racist islamaphobe, and Self himself would be at the front of long queue of the righteous snowflake army of the moronic and enraged calling for his head and booting out of the Tory party...A few minutes earlier he was again sneering that the Rudd lived in a "White ghetto"...
So by a very clear 1 to 1 parallel, this is exactly what Self is doing by saying "every racist and anti-semite voted Brexit" just the terms are substituted, he's indicating voting Brexit was in some way a racist (and anti semitic) act and throwing a slur that there is an inherent "racist" issue with Brexit supporters. HTH. It is PATHETIC to try and pretend Self wasn't indicating that. We all know what he was driving at. Isn't it interesting observing the intelligence level of those on the left constantly trying to call others lacking in intelligence, as happens so often on this forum.... |

I've no time for Will Self, but factually, Francois got his own argument wrong in saying Self should apologise to 17.4 million people ...blah..blah.
If Francois had pointed out that the EU is overwhelmingly a white (boys) club and that what bit about welcolming talent from all over the world, in Leavers arguments at the referendum, did Self not understand, then he'd have been on better ground. He'd have won the argi=ument too, because Self, for all his bombast when making a statement, can't think on his feet and formulate a rebuttal when his points are challenged. |
