They must be taking it in turns to have a taxpayer funded holiday in Spain.

Are they allowed to take their families?

it would be galling to have to return home just as the better weather begins

That's all they're there for, a holiday.

Hundreds go missing every year and get little attention, but when it happens in the sun and there's a sun tan in the offing, they pull out all the stops and there's no end to the money available.

Aren't our police wonderful - not.

Maybe they should start looking a little closer to home, still holidays in this country can be more expensive Crazy

The police are still fearlessly combing the world, tenaciously looking for those Pretendy Suspects that looked like a bit like Ted Bovis and Tommy Saxondale, but were of course a complete fiction.

Wasn't her blood found in the boot of her parents hired car? If they ever find the poor little angel I'm a dutchman

This is actually the most incredible thing in British politics I have ever seen.

There is literally as much evidence for 'the abductor' as there is for the tooth fairy.

in years to come; we may actually get to find out why all this funding was asked for & authorised

Why are people being so harsh???? Why wouldn't Plod keep making the journey to search for Maddy and play some golf...?

You do realise the 9th hole is a tricky dog leg with bunkers left and right. The green slopes this way and that with pin positions often spitefully close to the lake at the back. The wind swirls and crocodiles are often seen prowling, looking for prey.

It takes years to master such a hole.....

12 years of publicly funded searches when 90%+ of the public think the McCaans are guilty is quite bizarre.

Netflix has made a new documentary about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann which is due to be screened this month with the Oscar winning streaming service already predicting it will be a huge global success, MailOnline can reveal.

Maddie’s parents Kate and Gerry have refused to take part in the show despite numerous requests from producers Pulse Films over the past 18 months.

The couple’s ‘Tapas Seven’ holiday pals and their spokesperson and close friend Clarence Mitchell have also snubbed the venture, saying: ‘We want nothing to do with it.’

Perhaps they should wait until she claims old age pension...if she does she is alive if not she is dead

I think she will reach pension age before our police find anything

If you want to find your missing child do you:

(a) Team up with a media company with 150 million subscribers worldwide and buckets of cash to get the word out

Or...

(b) Ask for a bit of money to send a couple of retired policemen to a sunny holiday resort for a few weeks

They can enjoy themselves on the beach, lay in the sun, plenty for them to do

As you say Reynard, they won't find anything now,

Maybe one day someone will come forward a tale, who knows?

given the apparent lack of/reduction in police funding it is barely believable that there are still funds available for this "search"

Ben Needhams Mum received no police help albeit she was given a one-off payment to use private detectives.
What's the difference? The McCanns seem to have friends in authority pulling strings for them.

Setting aside their woeful parenting it’s obviously a very sad case but they have had more than their share of public money especially when there is a suspicion among  the general public that the McCanns haven’t told the whole story.there certainly seems a political will to continue investigations for whatever reason.about 6 months after Madeleine went missing a 14 yo boy called Andrew gosden caught a train from Doncaster to London & was never seen again.its a mystery why cases like this get next to no publicity & funding yet the McCann case gets an annual kick start.

It's sad that they are keeping this going, and clearly they won't stop until the McCanns are long gone.

If anyone is interested in knowing what exactly happened to Maddy, and details of the conspiracy and haven't already done so, watch the Bogart series on YouTube. His work is astonishing.
