This is not a centrist Party. It is a hardcore Remain Party.

It will be interesting to see how many of these eleven are re-elected if they stand as Independents at the next GE. My guess would be about none.

Whichever party you vote for this must be a good sign that politics, as it is, isn't working and needs a massive shake up.

Someone should inform Leopard that there are other more appropriate forms of sentence ending than an exclamation mark.

Three Tories now joined.

It's basically a 'Remainer Love-in' and when they discover that the Liberal Democrats occupy the same ground but have things like 'policies' and a party machine (albeit one run on sunlight and eco-friendly Unicorn sh1t) and that some (admittedly half-ar$ed) form of Brexit is going to happen then it's a bit difficult to see where they're going.

The fig-leaf of 'anti-semitism', whilst undoubtedly worthy, is hardly 'Kick Out The Jams, Motherfreakers!' as their other call to arms, is it?

More political suicides. I cannot understand why these Tory Ladies have done it. Maybe they have their own careers outside of Westminster or rich husbands but their noses will be out of the trough fairly soon along with the Hateful Eight.

I do ashley think they are more honourable than the Hateful Eight in that they are fighting for their principles whatever they are whereas the Labour rump would be jumping before they were pushed.

I think it a remainers love in hanx but why did they resign? They should have just co-ordinated their efforts to fight for the Remain cause.

The country is split. The Parties are split. Exciting times lye ahead. I fear how this is going to end and a repeat of history.

They are facing deselection is likely one influence of them resigning.

Is there such a thing as a poor Tory? Or ex-Tory in this case.

Certainly some Labour MP's and people like Chukka being marginalised. Not sue about the Tory bints. They should have fought their corner from where they ere.

Soubry and Woollaston were 100% sure to be deselected, Allen actually represents a Remain constituency so may not have faced the same pressures.

As for the Labour mob, Umunna was toast as soon as the voting principles were changed at last week's constituency meeting so again would have faced deselection.

At the end of the day that is democracy in action. The local party have the right to choose the candidate they want to REPRESENT them in Parliament.

At least all three Tory women have their own careers and money and don't need to feed in the Westminster trough.

Seems she is already married :

Wiki :

Allen was born in Notton, a small rural village near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, and received a degree in astrophysics from University College London (BSc).

Allen worked in various corporate positions, including ExxonMobil and the Royal Mail.[3] In 2008 she joined the family classic-motorcycle paints business, RS Bike Paint Ltd, established by her parents in 1978 and now run by her husband Phil Allen.

Allen has said she was inspired to become active in politics after watching the scenes of the Tottenham riots, and first became a councillor in St Albans. Allen served as a councillor for 18 months before making a bid to become an MP.[4]

I ashley think all this is a side show. We need to thrash out this Brexit thang once and for all.

I blame May big time for this. She's had ages to sort Brexit out & appears to have left it until the last moment - intentionally?

Here's the thing. She was I Remainer.

I am just wondering if this really is the Remain master plan. Don't do a deal, cause chaos and at the 11th hour call for an Extension and then the pressure will come for another Referendum!

Brexit has been sorted out. We leave on March 29, deal or no deal. It's the law.

Voted for by Chuka Umunna as it happens.
