yet another person ,no 2nd reff lady quoting the tory 2017manifesto of no customs union,
FFS YOU LOST A 50 0DD SEAT MAJORITY fighting on that manifesto ,against a so called unelectable Corbyn and disfunctional labour party, you,ve got to be some sort of ignorant loon to take that as a mandate for the country to be against a customs union, common ense would say the opposite is true, she probably takes her queue from rees mogg
she also used the old port of Calais chestnut about not stopping traffic
FFS what he said was they wouldn't stop anything to speed up traffic open borders, drugs, migrants, arms, terrorsits,
and people on the right pretend their the clever ones among us,most of them fall into the category  of been loudest means been right,

Yes but Corbyn also promised to leave the customs union.

You can't have it both ways.

rightly or wrongly Corbyn would have gladly left anything to do with Brexit out of the manifesto ,to the tory,s it  was their one and only argument in the whole election debate, they didn't join in with the rest of it, it was whynit was called she was told she,d get a 170/200 seat majority to drive through their idea of Brexit, roundly rejected, which was the experts, pundits summing up of the election in the aftermath

labour lost the last election, their manifesto was rejected

they are therefore free to make new policy free from promises they hoped to keep,
or retain policy if they wish, in hope of winning next election

thats how it works, innit?
