No, that's TOTU you're thinking of mouse. Not to be confused with TOFU, which is a chinese food made from slug afterbirth, and TOTO, which it's VERY easy to confuse with trump as they are a band who wrote "Hold the line" about a mexican fence.
Way ahead of their time those boys. |

One of the fallouts from news coverage over the past few years, will be the lack of trust there is in the BBC. The scales are falling off people's eyes, whichever part of the political spectrum you're from.
You can watch Channel Four news as a comedy show and get good mileage out of it on that basis. It's the flipside of the coin with Fox news on the other side. Mail vs Guardian. You watch it just to get you're prejudices re-enforced rather than search for anything approximating the truth. But you always thought (hoped?) the BBC was different. Not anymore. I watch it with a way more critical eye now. Trump f@rts and it's lead item on the news, and you can see Sopel's parenthesesed 'tut-tuts' as he reports on what a president is doing what his electorate mandated him to do, rightly or wrongly. Meanwhile in France, there's the Gilet Jaunes who have turned Paris into a battlezone every Saturday for the past 3 months, suffering some horrendous injuries at the hands of the French state's police force and their use of rubber bullets. There's barely a word on this. |
|
By:
I don't watch Fox and rarely Sky but Sopel must be the most biased journalist the BBC has, which is saying something these days.
He DRIPS with hatred for Trump, you can feel it fizzing out of the TV. I'm sure if the BBC fired him he'd just got go work for C4 news, he'd fit in. |

Sopel is payed > 200k a year of course. I'd happily move to the US on 200-250k a year to give a couple 2 minute bulletins on the news a week and some website updates saying in essence "Trump is a ****", cribbing that days attack line from the Democrats and left wing US media.
£200k-250k a year he gets for that according to the figures from a year or two ago. More than Theresa May is paid. |

Women Democrats Cheer Trump!

He got a 2:1 in Politics & Sociology from the University of Southampton. Inevitably he couldn't get a job afterwards, so stayed on for another year as President of the Students' Union, for the National Organisation of Labour Students.
With a background like that, there was only one possible employer in the end really, and that's the one he's remained with to this day. |

Many possible employers; Costa, Starbucks, Nero...

The issue is more about the quality of News management at the BBC that has allowed our national broadcaster to become a laughing stock because of its partisan reporting instead of just reporting the news.

Jon Sopel on the news talking about this Amazon "blackmail" story. No Trump attack, I almost fell off the couch. But no! Somehow .. based on no evidence just mere insinuation and guesswork, he's trying to use this to smear Trump using the words "political hit" and "trump enemy".
He's obsessed. |
