In 48 years of gambling.I know its shocking after timing but bear with me.Cameron Boyce was the player concerned and he plays cricket for the Melbourne Renegades in Australia's Big Bash.Boyce is a bowler who usually bats no 8 but last week he opened the batting but was unfortunately  out 1st ball.

Perusing through the prices on Oddschecker last night i happened to notice his price for top scoring batsman differed wildly.8/1 with Hills to a three figured price with a couple of other bookmakers.

Anyway, i placed a bet with the anticipation he MIGHT open again. Not so..he wandered to the crease at the fall of the 6th wicket with just 5 overs remaining  needing to eclipse the previous highest score of 36.

Then the fireworks commenced. Ball after ball he continued to catapult  the oppositions bowlers into the crowd with delightful regularity.

5 balls remaining and Boyce is on 35.I need 2 more runs. The 2nd ball misses the stumps by a smidge but the 3rd and 4th balls tower into the stands for a couple of maximums and my 150/1 bet was landed. What excitement.Even my misses ( who hates gambling) was doing the lambada in the kitchen.Laugh

P.S...Why did i only have a nicker on!!!

Nice feeling, isn't it.

Like when I got £1 taken of the £4 I wanted to put on at 910 on here about Davis Love to win a golf tournament about 4 years ago.
It was so lovely when near the end I got £600 green win or lose.

He won, btw

What I then I did was to moan about the whole bet not being matched!

You need to stop this heavy gambling and after timing.

How's this for stupidity?.365 were going 100/1 for this bet and i placed my pound on the eventuality.I THEN noticed Fredbet were going 150/1. So what did i do? Cancelled my bet with 365 and stuck it on with BET TED.

And this is from a bloke who once bet £2000 on a horse.

P.S...It lost BTWCry

Nice to hear some good news on here.

Its becoming so negative, I feel the need to put the BBC News on to cheer myself up.

Don't think I've ever had a bet with those odds. Once had 4 draws for £10 (£1k approx)

Excellent stuff Twizzle

Well done on picking that out but next time tell us before hand and we all can have a bet on.

What I can`t understand though is, why would you cancel a one pound bet? You can`t be that hard up surely.

.... I don`t bet on Cricket so wouldn`t know but was the bet not available on BF? If it was, it surely must have been double the odds on here at the least?

Thanks chaps....Just to add to the story on the same match i had a tenner on Callum Ferguson to top bat for the Sydney Thunder @ 4/1.He was on 27 runs and going nicely but  had this negative feeling. He was going to get out.I cashed out for £40 and he holed out next ball.Grin

It's worth mentioning that I've probably backed more than 600 other golfers at odds over 500 for at least £1 over the years.... but like most punters am only remembering the flukey one.

May we all have more like it. WD twizzle
