How would you price this? I'd make eggheads favs. Less weaklinks like Sean Wallace. Would be nice to see.

the original eggheads would be favs v the chasers
barry and pat are solid additions but some other new eggheads are below chase standard. sean wallace almost became an egghead, but was ko'ed in the televised qualifiers. an eclectic team of pat, barry, daphne, kevin, and chris would be very short odds against other team you could name on uk general knowledge judith, cj,dave, lisa and beth would struggle against a decent pub quiz team |

I have taken part in a few quiz events where many of the chasers and eggheads take part.
imo, the Eggheads just shade it. But, they're pretty much all professionals, and what they've done is take a fair quizzing ability and built on it. Where they're all pretty good is in the more obscure stuff. If it was standard quiz stuff, like you'd see in local events and pub leagues, there are loads of people who are as good. There are a few other quizzers too who take part in the big events, who don't appear on TV but are at least as good. |

Chris from the Eggheads is a league above. The rest aren't much cop - Pat is decent I suppose. The women are pretty dreadful.
However, the women on The Chase are very good. obviously The Chase is a bit different because they have the pressure of the clock to beat as well as the opposition/ I'd say Chris, Pat, the Vixen and Anne would be the best. |
