Try the black market for anti-biotics cos you ain't getting them off the docs these days
Report moisok January 25, 2019 5:55 PM GMT
definitely the hot toddy yum yum

but seriously - this sort of ailment hangs around for some time   I often use lemon honey and hot water

the stuff sold over the counter I understand to be useless as a cure

so why not sling in the whiskey !!!!

Had a terrible cough for about 10 days last year !   ( and I never get colds/flu usually )

Was coughing literally every 5 mins.....think I got it from a Korean restaurant in Richmond....one of the staff must have had a virus and touched the top of my beer glass or cutlery I worked out !

No other way I could have caught it !

Going to be a lot more of these viruses on the way as the antibiotics become useless !

Leopard you cough every time the news comes on.

I question the validity of anti-biotics no longer working like they should. Surely that would only apply to those who have consistently taken them? I have rarely used them down the years so should still be effective, or am I missing something?

Report donny osmond January 25, 2019 8:24 PM GMT
cat flu?
Report Emitdeb January 25, 2019 8:25 PM GMT
Couldnt the virus be air borne, via a cough or sneeze?
Report The Leopard January 25, 2019 8:47 PM GMT
Only stays air born 10 secs ....at a guess.
Report Emitdeb January 25, 2019 8:53 PM GMT
Airborne transmission occurs when bacteria or viruses travel on dust particles or on small respiratory droplets that may become aerosolized when people sneeze, cough, laugh, or exhale. They hang in the air much like invisible smoke. They can travel on air currents over considerable distances...

Pretty sure this was my assassin... Cry

Try a double espresso with a generous slug of Calvados. If it doesn't cure it you will at least feel better for while.
Report dunlaying January 26, 2019 9:38 AM GMT
I had the same problem . It will clear up .
Report dunlaying January 26, 2019 10:33 AM GMT
I see you have a heart condition Emitdeb . Your problem could stem from medication . I take the cardiac cocktail and that causes problems eg persistent rhinitis .
Stop sucking Fishermans Friends as they do nothing but irritate the lungs .
