A man lives on the tenth floor of a building. Every day he takes the elevator to go down to the ground floor to go to work or to go shopping. When he returns he takes the elevator to the seventh floor and walks up the stairs to reach his apartment on the tenth floor. He hates walking so why does he do it?

Surly he could just carry a small extending stick if he could not reach any buttons so that's not the answer

The man is too short to reach the number 10 button.
An alternative solution: The elevator only runs to the 7th floor. The riddle did not state that he takes the elevator from the 10th floor in the morning, just that he takes the elevator to the ground floor. He walks to the 7th floor each morning to take the elevator to the ground floor also. Another alternative solution: The man does it because he needs to go to work to get money and then go shopping to get food to eat. |

Rubbish. He could find a way to reach the button.
Basically after work he is giving a lass on floor 7 a good seeing to. He walks up the stairs home so he doesn't risk bumping into his wife in the lift getting in on floor 7. |

I like bigmo's second answer. A short person could stand on something, or use a french bread stick or any stick to press the button. Or jump.
Of course it could be the buttons 8+ are all broken. That would be plausible. Or he lives in a fairly nasrty block of flats and buttons 8-> are smeared in blood and sh1t put there by chavs and crack wh0res. Sort of place I imagine some of you live, when I'm bored and passing the time on my luxury gold yacht :P |

Elevator buttons are paired , the number 7 is always next to the number 8 . If he can reach 7 it therefore follows that he can reach 8

This is an arabic elevator, they count backwards.

Maybe he learned only to read and write , not count . Therefore he recognises the letter 'G' for ground floor but presses the number 7 to go up because he confuses it for the letter 'T' which he takes as standing for 'Take me Home'

A man is lying dead in a field. Next to him there is an unopened package. There is no other creature in the field. How did he die? a). He was struck by a package that fell from an aircraft . b). He was killed by a DHL delivery worker . c). Natural causes , the unopened package is purely coincidental .  |

They aren't always paired reynard. Also some hotels etc don't have a 13th floor if they are superstitious. I think the chines might have another number they are funny about as well.

His wife found out he was having an affair with the women on floor 7 so she lured him to a secluded field with the promise of a gift and shot him.

1. There was a package dropped from an overflying Chopper. The packet hit the person in the field and he was knocked dead. 2. The man had jumped from a plane but his parachute had failed to open. It is the unopened package. 3. The man is highly allergic to plant growth in the field and it suffocated him. The package is just something he was carrying and has no implication to the puzzle. |
