Discussion was on people self identifying their sex and a recent report that said that hospitals routinely allow men who self identify as women to be admitted to female wards.
One panellist in his objection to this suggested that an older woman might be frightened by a man being in a bed next to her.
Sarkar suggested this was akin to a white person objecting to a black person being in the next bed. Incredible thinking.

the other person, whos name escapes me suggested that bed baths were carried out by nurses in full view of other patients alltigether a very poor segment on the show between folk that were fairly clueless as to the problems being discussed might as well have done some vox pops as pay those two. |

Maybe this ****witted leftie child should go visit some confused elderly women in hospital, who get distressed at little things, and may not have slept in the same room as a man never mind a stranger for 50 years. Or read about the man who identified as a woman who was sent to prison and raped the inmates, convicted last year.

She said she'd spoken to a doctor before coming on and he'd assured her that their was minimal danger to the women.
That's okay then, nothing to worry about. Emmm maybe a case for a second opinion or a third etc etc . One feckin doctor and she's assured. |

she made a bad analogy but her point was one person should not give rise to
whole policy. of course its not just one person that is against the policy. but the point she was replying to suggested it was. when me mam was in and out of hospital you would be amazed at the needs of patients that are actually considered, even though they aint got enough beds on wards and hospitals are forced into running mixed wards nevermind self selecting folk. half the beds were alarmed as there were not enough staff to watch folk who had zero realisation they were even ill or in hospital. alarmed as in if patient got out of bed they triggered alarm |

Yet other day a woman was found dead in a stairwell as she'd wandered off and got lost and it took hours to find her?

6 in ward, 3 on alarm, one gets up, sets off alarm, other 5 get up to
see whats going on, 3 staff on ward each look after one parient, 3 unchecked until 3 returned to bed and alarms reset, wards are locked to stop them wandering off..... my friend died in a hospital stairwell, he was an outpatient, found weeks later how does it happen ? who knows ? |

I could easily do it on here and close down so many debates with accusations. It is so easy to halt a sensible debate and they do it all the time on the televisual experiences sky bbc etc etc You ignore us at your peril etc etc !!! but how about the massive majority - who also are not really interested. |
