thought bubbles was retiring from public life since his sons illness on tv more than Stephen fry,watched this for years thinking it was live till I read it was recorded about 5.6 years ago,

I know its the New Year show but Jools used to be a chance to see some new, quality bands performing live.
Seems it same old, same old now. Too much bluesy, honky tonk, crooners and old pals act. Tainted Love speeded up and ruined....Bubble singing some classic which we must all have heard 100 times before.... Best act was Junior Giscombe imo but I am a bit biased as I can remember buying Mama Used to Say... Second song by the only rock band was good too. |
