Perhaps there is something in the upbringing,

A large majority of us were brought up within a culture that reads nursery rhymes and Janet & John books to our children from a very early age , as our parents read to us . There are some cultures that allow their children to read only one book , a manual of hatred and evil , so that from a very early age they are indoctrinated with hatred to the point that they know of no alternative . They never learn of love and compassion , tolerance and acceptance , which are the very basis of a civilised society . Then they are expected to live within a civilised society , something they they simply aren't conditioned for , and their deep-rooted hatred comes to the fore and ............................. well , the result is there for all to see , should they choose to open their eyes .

I can only repeat what I have said before when Brits and others from N. Europe are arrested in UAE, murdered in Thailand and now in Morocco. Travelling to another culture should carry a health warning on the plane ticket. Migrants get attacked and mistreated here sometimes so why the surprise that tourists are attacked when they are abroad?

I don't really follow news these days and only find out about events like these when i open chit chat, which is also very rare. I see people are still responding in exactly the same manner one would expect them to. Blame Islam, Koran, muslims, bbc, immigration policies and so on. I don't bother holding an opinion on these issues anymore but can't help notice how easy it has become to control the public's reaction, if any. For the last three years at least, after every event, the public reaction is exactly the same. And that is a victory in itself for the politicians. The reaction was the same after Strasbourg. ANd it will be the same after the next terr attack.

What I am more concerned about here is the Danish government's reaction. They have their intelligence agency working on this? Why? I understand these were their citizens but the reaction seems a bit too much to me. The PM said:

Moreover, the intelligence agency said: "The video and preliminary investigation according to the Moroccan authorities indicate that the killings may be related to the terrorist organization Islamic State."

Conveniently, there is a video of four guys pledging allegiance to IS a week before this. And these are the four said to be involved.

Does the danish govt's reaction sound familiar to anyone? I seriously hope we aren't about to start an invasion of Morocco by conveniently moving IS to that country. And its so close to the EU, this might well be enough to finally have our own EU army. Especially since we might well be getting out of Syria very soon.

agree case, my point was that people behave differently in other parts of the world but there is often hostility among a minority of locals to foreigners. In UK it is normally name calling and verbal abuse but in some countries it is murder. I have great sympathy for the families of the women involved but before going abroad, it is wise to check how safe it is.
