I sometimes have to go into central London and you have to keep your eyes out constantly for the dodgy characters that are around.....must put off a lot of tourists and Brits from going in.
These cameras could create a safe area which could gradually be enlarged. They will soon sort out the false matches. |

By:
no problems with the trial, so long as they publish details of their findings as to
if it works or not... shirley it can only monitor folk already in system, some chap walks along he will be unrecognised if not in system, so will be allocated a number(perhaps?) until such time as facebook flags him up as d1cky from billericay ? |

didnt they try it somewhere in wales with a below 10% success rate?
|

Donny
Social media will be used within it that's the point Once the snap is taken it'll then process all of social media and flag you up, one big data gathering exercise and its disgusting |

By:
It won't hurt at all - you will just receive a little prick. And there are a lot of them around these days and they WILL control you. EVENTUALLY.
|
|
By:
will be interesting to see if folk put photos on social media in future.
easy enough to wear masks if entering a zone that is controlled lots of folks on dating sites, use false images anyway...so i am told ![]() its a minefield in reality as is all of this crimefighting stuff, as i dont trust the folk in charge of this country, to use the info for solely good reasons. (good as in just and proper) id certainly be happy for this trial to happen, then have proper debate. ive seen previous results, but can you trust how accurate they are or are not? |
|
By:
Saw a programme on this in Japan extreme levels of control.

Burqas and masks would have to be banned as in France.

I am just chuckling to myself thinking about the hoo ha from certain people and groups about stop and search. Oh fkn ha ha ha. I guess they won't be able to see faces through slits either.

It's totally minority report which was also largely about mass surveilance by an authoritarian government.
I just read b*stards from the blarite labour party (via a think tank run by the utterly odious adonis) who wanted to bring in their mass surveilance ID scheme are talking about resurrecting it again to help "solve Brexit". |
|
By:
its got a 100% success rate or 100% failure rate depending on your view because every person so far who,s had their photo taken has proived to be innoicent members of the public, not one offender been arrested or charged
|
|
By:
when i said mask, i dont just mean plastic ones, but those applied
by actors too. |
|
By:
no 1tp, interested how many it spots and identifies and proven accurate.

In that film they were able to scan the eye and it immediately knew who it was
People will be forced into having their ids taken imo It'll be a case of do it or no social points = no food etc |

It wont be long until they start selling the idea of scanning your eyes for ID checks being a convenient thing
No carrying cards or money Phones are already being accepted to pay for things in supermarkets? |

The ID card scheme (which was far more than an ID card, it was huge) was a New Labour we dream and the various guys proposing it again in the media today are the very same New LAbour people...

By:
lots of films with facial recognition and sat tracking
people probably think its available now, maybe it is, and this trial is just a bluff to get us caught up with mi5 and co |

The germans controversially were trialling it a year or two ago without asking permission, it was controversial as they are touchy about it given their relationship with the STASI and so on. (Which Blair seemed to see as a role model!).
