if it walks away from the EU without a capitulation. Now i know some cretinous creatures - Take a bow Loathsome Leadsom - will now finally exit the cocoon of Mays motherly nurturing, essentially to try & infect the thought of the Great British People,  ultimately to then furnish their own ambitions. The fact that he is the first of the cabinet to break ranks and speak this most heinous of thought should not be lost on any poor soul. So ultimately maybe this is why i feel he has tainted this craving of mine by saying it? Then again, maybe the real reason is i really do dislike - with vehement passion; all of that sorry lot of self-serving egotistical blockheads in that dwelling of pompous narcissists so damn much! Why couldn't he follow the idiots idiom; namely stick with the suicidal despot down her vacuous road to oblivion, or even more desirable; nail his true blues to the  ignominious mast of a second referendum?
More probably though; it's quite possibly just because i most sincerely loathe the man.

Extracts below from The Telegraph. He sounds like a confused woodpecker to me. But please make your own minds up; i therefore give you - Jezza Hunt - Foreign Secretary

The UK will “flourish and prosper” even if it walks away from the EU without a deal, Jeremy Hunt has insisted.

In an interview with The Telegraph, the Foreign Secretary says that while a no-deal Brexit would cause disruption, the country has faced much bigger challenges in its history.

He also admits wanting “a crack” at succeeding Theresa May after the Prime Minister steers the country through what he calls “this challenging next few months”, following her pledge to stand aside before the next scheduled election in 2022.

But he says Mrs May is the only person who can secure the changes necessary for MPs to back her deal, because EU leaders respect her and “know how hard she has been working”.

His comments come amid a highly charged Cabinet dispute over whether a no-deal outcome is preferable to a second referendum or a soft exit.
Julian Smith, the Chief Whip, is
separately under attack from Tory Brexiteers for holding talks with his
Labour counterpart several times a week, prompting fears that he is discussing a soft option in order to secure Opposition votes.

Mr Hunt’s words are likely to be welcomed by Leavers who insist that a no-deal scenario – the default position if an agreement is not struck by March – would be better for the country than Mrs May’s current agreement.

He acknowledges that the deal on the table risks “anchoring Britain indefinitely in the customs union”.

He adds: “I’ve always thought that even in a no-deal situation this is a great country, we’ll find a way to flourish and prosper. We’ve faced much bigger challenges in our history.

“But we shouldn’t pretend that there wouldn’t be disruption, there wouldn’t be risk, and there wouldn’t be impact and that’s why as a responsible government we have to make all the preparations necessary.”

Current and former ministers are seeking to position themselves to replace Mrs May in the event of her deal collapsing in the Commons as a result of failing to secure sufficient concessions from Brussels. Amber Rudd, the Work and Pensions Secretary who favours close ties to the EU, on Saturday said the Government needed to “engage with others and be willing to forge a consensus” in case opposition to the agreement was not overcome. She said that no-deal “mustn’t happen”.

a thought has just occurred to me. In 1960 When Richard Millhouse Nixon was taking on Jack Kennedy for the White House; a rather apt photograph appeared of Nixon, with the now infamous words scribed underneath - "Would you buy a used car from this man"

I would like to think, if a similar photo now appeared of Jeremy Hunt it would have the following written underneath - Would you let this man run the NHS

DAVID LINNINTON wouldn't change his underpants without treason mays say so,so all this talk of 2nd reffs, approaching lab mp,s about a 2nd reff, leaked to the press, attacking tony blair is the pm,s no 10,s latest transparent 6th form student plan into peeling of mp,s with the my plan or 2nd reff plan, as usual patently forgetting that even if every tory fell for it,the dup would join labour in a VONC and the torieswould split like a pane of glass for generations

1st TP; i think you misjudge the nutcases ability to hatch a plan. She has been duracelled by Olly Robbins for 2 years. He inserts the batteries and off she goes! Robbins is a very very dangerous man. Lidington is a yes man; he spent 6 years as Minister of State for Europe under the pants dropper Cameron, 4 years as Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland - under IDS, and has been the nutcases 'man' since the year dot! The remain conspiracy boat floats very deep with Robbins - Lidington at the helm. Stephen Parkinson is also part of Team Theresa. Not a yes man, if he said fart to the nutcase she would cut the cheese with alarming voracity. He is also dangerous; and she has put her job and reputation on the line defending him in the past. Hammond, Gavin Williamson (Who loathes Bojo) and Greg Clark fill in the gaps. This clique should have been ruptured many months ago & the fact that it wasn't, tells you how cowardly the Tories & more specifically, the cabinet are.

thanks, Just Checking that is a fine piece of cope from someone who i admire. I particularly love this extract "These changes would matter less to Britain if the E.U. were a genuinely democratic institution. In such a place, Britain’s relative stability and growth would accord it more influence. But the E.U. is not a functioning democracy" Bravo Henry!

the article just checking posts is written by someone working for a koch brothers funded neo-con 'think tank', there is no policy or ideas about how to make us thrive. its tripe, imo. if someone posted a contrarian article written by someone from a soros funded 'think tank' i dont think just checking would be so amenable.
