My auntie has had her full working life as an employee of the benefits system mostly investigating and proving blatant thievery from shyte like above it's far more common than we hear about.

Always going to be lowlifes who will scam, regardless of where they have come from. We just need to have systems and processes in place to deal with them. Looking at the Grenfell scams, the scammers are pretty thick as they were always going to get caught, given the attention and focus on the tragedy.

What is disturbing is how ready the authorities were to believe them.

Yet everyone else who tries to claim anything has to jump through hoop after hoop in order to be considered.

With most tragedies/scandals, the initial event is followed by either a cover up or corruption or both.

Rotherham, Telford, Newcastle etc etc
MPs expenses
Savile
Alder hey
And now Grenfell.

These mugs have taken up to £1m. That won't be returned. What's more, the taxpayer has to fund their porridge AND fund them when they get out. (Fraudsters aren't going to find jobs easy to come by..)

All of these resources could get all the homeless housed tomorrow morning.

How about a gallery of the people who lost absolutely everything that day, and are still waiting to be properly housed.

For properly housed read million pound mansions.

But these scams seem particularly bad in the circumstances, the people who survived should count themselves lucky to be alive,

Not many countries would allow people here illegally to remain, and heap  millions upon them.

There can be no excuse whatsoever for the disgraceful actions of the Grenfell Fraudsters. They are a cancer on this country.

Can't wait to see David Lammy's unequivocal and ferocious condemnation of these vile criminals who perpetrated these Grenfell Frauds. We know, for example, from a past tweet that he was upset when someone stole some money from what was left of the tower block, when police were supposedly guarding it as a crime scene.

I can only begin to wonder then just how INCANDESCENT with SEETHING RAGE he will be about the subsequent big money frauds that have been committed, quite independently, by fraudsters who had a connection with the the tower block. He will also doubtless wish to lambast those in authority who allowed Illegal Immigrants to live in that place.

One of our former Chit Chat comrades on here just emailed me. He informed me that he posted the above BBC News link about the latest example of proven Grenfell Fraud, onto a 'Justice For Grenfell' social media site today. 

His posting was unceremoniously and inexplicably deleted within 2 minutes.

Doesn't 'Justice' for the Grenfell victims include rooting out and exposing any criminal fraudsters who have disgracefully tried jumped on the bandwagon after the tragedy?

I would imagine Shadow Home Secretary Diane Abbott will be livid about the scale of this crime, and calling for the most draconian sentences for anyone found guilty of this fraud, and more police resources to be made available to go after the crooks.

^ seem's that's where most of the money went  ...so if it is returned it would have to be returned by the hotels in question as a goodwill gesture  ...would seem in bad form  for hotels  such as the Hilton to pocket this cash  otherwise

You may understand that the white racists are in a minority now.  I am convinced that it has switched and I believe a lot of it is coming from the other side of the coin.  Just my opinion.

Charities of this nature can be expected to make these allegations, they need to stir up outrage in order to stimulate cash flow.
Without that they don't have a living, which is basically what they're in business for.

ANOTHER Grenfell Fraudster emerges and is convicted. Just the £96k handed to him on this occasion by "investigators".  No news yet as regards whether it would be ungentlemanly to ask him to return it though.

Make no mistake, London MPs, Diane Abbott and David Lammy will surely be emerging from their Election Hideaways this very evening to condemn this fraudster in the most vociferous fashion. Maybe they'll also finally find time to have a go at the umpteen convictions that have preceded this one as well.
