War hero dies

There was a fairly decent film on late last night where a woman is in when burlgars come (she was supposed to be at a funeral but wasn't) .. that was ... interesting! (Called "Shut In", I won't post spoilers).

But yes, beating anyone up is bad but children, OAPs, the disabled, gets people particularly angry..

For a cheap TV you might get in a charity shop for a 10er.

Makes you so angry, the horrifying effect this has on people's lives even without violence. And yet the police are reportedly not even turning up for burglaries and are supposed to be spending their time chasing after cases where no crimes are commited but people are "offended".

Many times these days things are so ****ed up I think I'm in a weird dream or someone slipped a drug into my morning cuppa...

I'm sure many/most "on the ground" are just as annoyed at it all as the rest of us and want to get after the real bad guys, but the "management" has been infiltrated by the likes of idiots with sociology degrees and politicised from the top down with "targets" to meet etc .

Sad truth is that if you stop recruiting and shut down stations then those left can't cover everything. Sad thing is we can spend money on looking into yet another bridge over the Thames, spending billions so trains between Glasgow and London can be 15 minutes quicker, on renovating Big Ben and Buckingham Palace but not where the money's needed most. Not that those who make the decisions would ever be personally affected by the cuts obviously.

I reckon the police are purposely ignoring crime in order to draw attention to cuts. They're getting paid for doing nothing most of the time.
And now they know they can get away with it it's going to get a lot worse.
