denentia and alzheimer's are a blight on society and not that easy to
spot in early stage.

the guy had a few accidents before this terrible crash, and should have
been stood down by company...but also i cant understand how they managed
to get insurance for him after these accidents, ...what were the insurance company
doing?

got to hope that there will be more checks in future.

very difficult to stop people with these illnesses from driving because they forget
they have the illness and forget they are told not to drive, or are banned.

On the Buses?
The bus conductor must have been 70.
They should have called the bus company Geriatric Travels.
Report leazes67 • November 27, 2018 5:16 PM GMT
Donny..i worked for the same bus company (different depot). The insurance policy covers the whole workforce irrespective of individual drivers driving record.

till theres an accident insurance policies mean nothing, all these contractors [ individual workers ] going ltd company etc to get tax benefits, theres millions out there ,working alongside paye contractors reckon they get 5 million quids worth of liability cover for didly squat a year,if they injure ,kill a paye contractor working alongside them the ltd company lads are liable, what happens on a large site if 5 or 6 of them are responsible for a major incident killing ,badly injuring multiple paye workers, how the fook can multiple workers paying didly squat a month compensate multiple claiments, bit like these one man band doing inflatable slides how can they get cover to insure 200 kids on there slide when there making a 100 quid a day, with all the recent accidents surely the insurance premiums are ginormus, there must be insurance companies and millions of ltd company workers ,going to work just hoping the worst doesn't happen, putting their livelyhoods, homes etc at risk on a daily basis
Report donny osmond • November 27, 2018 6:09 PM GMT
cheers leazes, but you would think an alarm should have been triggered
in the insurance company, unless they made claims without giving drivers name,
or didnt claim for his accidents....

We asked Stagecoach how many drivers are still working long hours - here's what they said

The man behind the wheel at the time of the crash was working excessive hours
