Kenny, a stellar opportunity here surely for a canny local investor.
A property in need of a little restoration in the highly sought-after, happily integrated multicultural paradise of Bradford. If you're going along to the auction put me down for my final bid, £1.12. . https://uk.yahoo.com/finance/news/three-bedroom-house-uk-goes-sale-just-1-132333174.html |

Thanks for the phew, Jack.
I'll have you know alun, that a certain part of Bradford was on the most sought after postcodes in the UK, although it seems to have dropped off the list. Ilkley it was. Inner city is a bit grim, which your "bargain" obviously is. The more on the outskirts, say 3 miles or more you go, the nicer it is. |

house prices over 450k average, so why not?
By:
Terraced properties sold for an average price of £326,938, while detached properties fetched £649,249.
By:
No offence kenny but because they are in Bradford.
There will be half a million pound houses in every city in the UK, wont make em most sought after post codes in uk. |
By:
no james, they were in Bradford but were sought after. It's not the postcode it's the area. Actually Ilkley has a Leeds postcode but is a ward within Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
By:
I don't think Bradford is sought after by anyone outside of Bradford.
By:
I don't think it's sought after from anyone inside Bradford either

irish, scottish right across the board to hindu and muslim my close friend was a muslim - yes from pakistan - we met through the labour party quite an education I can tell you personally I found we easily mixed despite the supposed cultural and religious differences - and I mean EVERYONE yes even the scottish!! ha ha truly a multi cultural city - my little house looked like the united nations when we had dinners and parties still have the photos to prove it So what has gone wrong in the cities and why? |
By:
Come on Kenny, Ilkley is a million miles from Bradford. It's like saying Cawthorne is Barnsley.

Schhhhhhhhh, comes under our council.
By:
yeah, a bit like saying Luton is in London.
By:
so why do you say Bradford is not sought after, scandi?
By:
I lived in an inner city area when I was young. When my parents bought the house it was considered to be in a prosperous area.
By:
I've never seen Bradford pop up on these most desireable places to live in the UK lists.
By:
so what in your (and jamesdean's opinion) make it not sought after now?
By:
I've had a look around google street view and I'm afraid I'm out.
By:
well the list usually cover the top 10. my sister lived in Northumberland and it was a beautiful place, but it never gets a sniff. So why should Bradford?
By:

But why is it like that now, as moisok asked? It wasn't at one time. |

By:
It would look less like a bomb site if it was blown up
