You really should have to declare you weight/size when you buy a ticket - and if that means having to buy 2 tickets as you'll needs 2 seats so be it.

I recall going to the theatre and as we approached our suits say this huge man in the next seat(he was actually a very nice person).
I panicked and swerved so my missus was first in the seats and sat next to him.

Also when doing jury service we went in  and this huge woman was next to me .
The following day , I had to tie my shoe lace ......making sure I was not sat near her.
