I watch anything on true life murder...perhaps I am a little insensitive  Why did they do this is the question I have? The pair were already involved in criminal activities, stealing, vandalism, etc..but then to jump to his. Was one more responsible for this than the other? Did they feed off each other's evil, seems likely to me? From my own childhood I know children can very cruel and sadistic to animals...which caused me distress, it still does. This is a step up from that. Was there any sexual motivation here? There are a lot of other questions I could ask. I see from Teletext today, Jamie Bulger's mother was very upset Channel 5 showed this, she must have gone through hell hearing what happened to her sonand probably still does She has all my sympathy |

Just for the record, Mary Bell was not a murderer. She was convicted of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.

apologies BBC red button I think one problem with this case is that we are not equipped to deal with children who commit something as evil as this, this early. His killers were 10 years old! They were tried as adults, even though that was iffy, but their crime was so evil. If people think they were not punished enough, it is understandable. |

I understand your feelings case.
They were punished but their age's limited how much, did they fully realise what they were doing, this very hard? If someone knows them now it against the law to reveal their new identities. Although we don't need to know what people look like to trace them nowadays do we? |
