Of course there were calls for the EU to form its own army recently from Macron the French president.
Where that could lead is anyone's guess. The EU seems intent on falling out with America as well. So that would confirm that Europe's capacity to self destruct is still alive and well. Russia must be the EU's ultimate target. |

There will not be a WW3 because all the powers that be have to do is press one little button and the world will be wiped out. There will be, as there is now, lots of little wars like Yemen etc. These wars are natures way of controlling the population. It will NEVER start in the middle east with Israel, because the big Arab states will not want to lose their control on petrol. If Israel looks like going under she will wipe out the mid east with nuclear weapons. The Arabs are always posturing but will never want to take on Israel. If they had any intention they would of done so by now. Notice how NO Arab states want to take in Palestinians so they certainly wont fight for them! Arab states can lose to Israel many times. The first time Israel loses will be its last!!!

There will be a religious war in Europe, where the far right lose patience with governments for their inability to deal with the vast influx of muslims, who don't want to integrate and wanting to express there views in a violent way. it'll start in Germany and it will quickly escalate imo

Too late dambuster. Take a look at adverts on tv, the sudden influx of certain groups on quiz shows, the sudden increase in numbers of white women converting to Islam, and who is standing behind Corbyn at his press conferences etc. The battle has been lost from within. The Islamic Republic of Britain will not be fighting Muslims, that's for sure! And if anyone thinks the USA will be fighting, the first female Muslim has been elected to Congress. That's how it started in the UK!

I dont buy the theory that nuclear weapons deter world war, it has done while other agreements were in place, but they are being broken up.
The most obvious is the likelihood of smaller scale ballistic nukes. There will be sporadic use that breaks the seal and from then o tit for tat increases in size imo. That reference to china DrC I believe was in the bible, a great army from the east arriving to fight at Jeruselem that creates the end of days. |

My two bets would be Russia invading one of the Baltic states which now we have invited them to join NATO despite at the time Yeltsin pleading with the West not to. We would be obligated to come to their defence not that you could count on the current American administration to step up. However if they did first use of nuclear weapons would be a tactical strike by the Russians to wipe out NATO'S landforces which would cause the escalation of all out nuclear war. The second hotspot is the South China sea with the current Chinese policy of land grabbing. This however I feel would be a more conventional war where former foes could become allies. Namely the US and Vietnam.

Fromt what I've read, while we view nuclear weapons as a weapon of last resort, the russians view them as another tool in the box for tactical use, which is a bit worrying as I don't think Nato would like being nuked at all even on a small scale.
My fear is some c--t like some religious nutter gets hold of one and lets it off and another country lays blame on someone else and all hell breaks loose From the smouldering rubble, in one final poinant broadcast from the last working long wave radio transmitter, the BBC would blame brexit. |

 I don't think any country will start a Nuclear War since the cost of winning the war will probably not be a lot worse than losing it. I think if it starts it will be an unstable individual who gets into the system |

I don't know if it would. Countries with nukes are wise enough to know that if they use them then there will be a retaliation and they themselves will get severely buggered. Countries without nukes aren't going to poke those who do. There will be a lot more tutting and v-signs etc but actual conflict will be minimal compared to pre-1945.

You can't start a small nuclear war. Tactical nuclear weapons? even limited use would have a devastating effect on the world economy and no sane govt would want that.
The days of world wars are gone, the object of them was to occupy land and these days it has been shown its impossible to do. All this doesn't mean there won't be an exchange of nuclear missiles but that would be triggered by mistake or a madman. Power is moving from countries to corporations and other than the Arms industry, war is bad for profits. |
