Kate Osamor referred to watchdog over son's drugs conviction

But the Labour MP last night claimed criticism of her decision not to sack her son was racist.
In a further tweet, she added: ‘The appalling abuse I have endured has been racist and politically motivated!’ Miss Osamor also ‘liked’ a series of tweets suggesting she had been targeted because she is a black woman. One said: ‘Shame on the racist media who are taking a hit at another outstanding black woman, because they think she’s an easy target. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6356231/Labour-frontbencher-faces-probe-promoted-son-chief-staff.html . |

Welcome to the world of far left cronyism and hypocrisy

So a young man takes some drugs to a festival, quits his job on the council and works for his mum. What's the issue exactly? Are we saying everyone with a drugs conviction should be barred from work? Should a parent give up on helping their children if they've had some difficulties. Does a drug conviction mean the person is automatically less qualified to do a particular job?
All seems a bit OTT to react like that tory MP has done. Must be incredibly detached from the real world. |

By:
Yeah I'm sure it was just a riff for personal consumption. Everyone move along
By:
supplying might just do it
By:
Come on now. It was only Ketamine Cocaine and Cannabis. Perhaps there is a market for it in The House Of Commons?
By:
Perhaps it was a Post BREXIT move to create our own trade deals with Colombia? Better not jump to conclusions.
By:
In which case a drugs conviction would make him more qualified to do that job.

The new line for progressives on here is to defend drug dealers. Amazing scenes.

Indeed, but in fairness they are only 'progressives' in their own deluded minds. I won't name and shame one particular human tragedy on here who loves to imagine himself as liberal, progressive and (most important of all) an anti-racist. Sadly, his self-imagined status as RacismFinder-General is rather defeated by his occasional use of the racist term 'G*mm*n'. (The asterisks are mine, as I do not wish to type a racist expression). |

very good point alun hadn’t thought of that ,
Racism seems to be rife in Britain today totally disgraceful language Osamor should be sacked of course for stealing tax payers money and giving it to her son |
By:
Odious woman playing the race - get out of jail- card.
Yes lets get more drug dealers and murderers off the dole and into Westminster, makes sense. |
By:
well well porky supporting drug dealers who would have thought
after all it was only a grands worth - he must have a real bad 'smoking' habit |
By:
Osamor admitted having up to £2,500 worth of drugs with intent to supply at Dorset's Bestival event in 2017, the Bournemouth Echo reported.
The 29-year-old was found with cocaine, ecstasy, ketamine and cannabis, according to the newspaper. He was given a two-month community order and 20 days of rehabilitation. https://news.sky.com/story/labour-mp-kate-osamor-facing-calls-to-sack-son-after-drug-dealing-conviction-11540743 . https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/ishmael-osamor-class-a-drugs-bestival-kate-osamore-haringey-mp-a8613326.html . |

He should find plenty of customers in the commons then
By:
I thought it was put about that it was only grass and a grands worth ho ho - so he is no dealer eh??
I love westmonster and its hypocrisy, lies and false news. I suppose this is what you get living in a spiv world I bet my comrade, anxious, would agree |

By:
QUICK play that card - they have been all morning too over the black gang crime running rampant on the streets of landan
we have definitely lost the war (but not the argument) |
By:
Does anyone know if the spawn of the disgusting Kate Osamor, the shadow international development secretary, is still working as her communications officer and therefore effectively still being paid out of our taxes ?
By:
like most politicians it's do as i say but not as i do. his feet wouldn't have touched the ground on the way out of the door in any other walk of life
By:
but it is the cards they can play - what a great job to have - and you can't touch them coz little khan's people will be round
what cards do we have to play? |

Nowadays if you're not white anglo saxon you get away with murder.....

By:
Took her time but now resigned. How these awful people get elected is beyond my understanding.
By:
Resigned in shame from the Shadow Cabinet. Pure ghetto scenes. Anyone with any scintilla of integrity should of course have resigned as an MP as well. Enfield deserves better. Her continuing presence as an MP is a shameless 'two fingers' to them.
The question every sane person should be asking is how on earth could this wholly inappropriate individual could have retained her frontbench job for so long. But that's Corbyn's Labour for you. She was a seamless fit there, whereas Sarah Champion had to be jettisoned. Corbyn's pitiful public statements on her resignation predictably ignore the seriousness of this matter. Evidently her critics may not be quite so "incredibly detached from them real world" then after all. . https://uk.yahoo.com/news/labour-frontbencher-kate-osamor-resigns-155300380.html |

Osamor ,Onsanyana black motherless will go to the wall to hide their odious offspring.
By:
Said she knew nothing about the case until he was sentenced.
Funny that as she wrote a pretrial letter to the judge in defence of her son. Read up on the trial, both interesting and worrying. |
By:
The quality of our MPs is shocking: rip-off tax payers with dodgy expenses; employing a drug-dealing sibling as senior communication officer (post title - qualification required, does anyone know?); economical with the facts about identity of driver in a speeding offence; etc.
That's usually what tends to happen if fast-tracking or addressing any position for the reason of political correctness instead of ability to do the job; honesty and integrity at basement level. |
By:
goes without saying that most of the general public wouldn't even dream of getting involved in to put it politely the sort of dubious conduct most MPs would't think twice about doing. it's an utter joke they all refer to each other as honourable members
By:
I'd had professional affiliations with left of centre Labour Party MPs (then councillors) and sitting councillors; one became spokesperson for Camelot; another a leader of the House for the Labour Party; leader of Islington Labour Council.
I was reliably informed the majority would use the facilities allocated eg offices, communications, transport, staff, etc, to feather their own nest ie to build up their network of (probable) professional and social contacts for the future. Also, they tend to put their interests before others eg jobs. |
By:
but she is still an MP
By:
just to balance it - I think the whole shambolic bunch of so called representatives are more about maintaining position and career for their own particular advantage
but then wouldn't you at your job?? but their job is supposedly to represent and few do this without many other personal considerations |
By:
Looks like the MP who is being tried for not forthcoming with the id of the driver caught speeding despite her communication manager's written evidence aiding the prosecution could be facing a re-trial. If convicted she could face de-selection from the Labour Party and her career as a solicitor also in jeopardy as lying under oath and to The Bar are an extremely serious matter.
Why did she not just admit the speeding offence and accept the punishment? It is only a few points and a fine. Now the (probable) punishment )if convicted) is significantly much more severe. |
By:
Because these arrogant coonts originate from places like Nigeria where they are virtually untouchable and therefore feel able to do/say what they want without fear of being challenged to justify their actions.

Maybe it's the culture. Some do not see any difference between telling a white lie, the truth and owning up or lie thro' their back teeth regardless whilst others are more obedient and law abiding; the country of origin of these two MPs are merely coincidence, I hope.

Yet another massive embarrassment for this disgraced MP.
. https://order-order.com/2018/12/03/kate-osamor-banned-wikipedia/ And for good measure, a national newspaper can't even get their photographs right when reporting her resignation. . https://order-order.com/2018/12/03/mistakes-disgraced-labour-shadow-minister-disgraced-labour-whip/ Two stories there to warm the heart on a miserable wet and windy winter morning. |
