A hate crime against who?

A report of a group of people dressed as Ku Klux Klan (KKK) members in Newtownards, County Down, is being treated by police as a hate crime.
Pictures emerged of the group posing near an Islamic prayer house.


The pictures are frightening (not in a fun halloween way), especially if one was of colour. Absolute morons

A clear hate crime.

'Malevolent intent'
Alliance MLA Kellie Armstrong said the picture of the people dressed as members of the white supremacist group was a "clear demonstration of aggression" and "that is a hate crime."
The picture appears to have been taken a few doors down from the Bangladesh Islamic Centre in Newtownards.
In August last year, a pig's head was left on the doorstep of the centre.
DUP MLA Peter Weir tweeted that the pictures showed "malevolent intent".

Absolutely not.

If someone dresses up as a cowboy, it doesn't mean they're going to join a cattle train or have a shoot out in the high street.

I wouldn't like it - I don't think they like my sort of person.  I might take a fence.  Depends what they are saying really doesn't it.?  If it is death to all p0uffes then I would - get my drift.  Or was it a bit over the top as a prank but well out of order??

Is wearing a bowler hat and an orange sash and banging a Lambeg Drum while marching through catholic areas a hate crime now too.?

Also positive discrimination with examples such as "MOBO Awards", and "Black Hollywood". It has to work both ways. Surely !

Wear a black sheet its ok ,wear a white sheet its a crime . It is not a crime to be white.

People should stop ramping these kind of things up out of all proportion, you know, just lighten up and stop making a big deal out of nothing.

By the sound of it, these were just a bunch of guys dressed for Halloween having a bit of a laugh.

Now, the real KKK, that's a very different matter. Those guys are freaky as fook and are just evil beyond belief in the depictions I've seen on TV. I must confess that I don't know what they're about and quite frankly, I don't want to know cos the sight of them and their actions make me feel sick in the pit of my stomach.

Real KKK wouldn't go into a pub for a meal, or remove their ' hoods' !!!!

This is more like a scene from Monty Python, along the lines of the ' Spanish Inquisition '

Well, on a technicality, it wasn't "inside" though therefore was clearly "outside"...

The fact that it may have been three streets away, doesn't change anything!
