Merkel's cunning plan is to step down as party leader but remain as Chancellor of Germany. The politics forum might know more.

Poland, Brazil, now Germany in the last week, I see pattern developing here.

I believe it would be a sad day for Europe and the World if she does step down; she was the mother of the politicians in Europe, and she held the EU together. I'd think without her there is no European politician with sufficient experience of leading a big economy like The EU eg Tusk (Poland), Juncker (Luxembourg) and Macron (France). And this on top of Britain exiting The EU.
I admire what she's doing about the plight of the Syrian refugees in Germany,...the timing could not be worse given the immigration and protectionism of neighbouring countries and America. |

Even Merkel knows her migrant policy was a fcuk up what she's done has put everyone in Europe in danger and in a worse state, whether it be the 'no go zones',extremists left right and centre, women not being able to walk the streets, benefits culture, untouchable factions, fake fascists (like myself) the list goes on and the problems won't go away.

She's broken Europe, what a legacy.

Stepping down in 2021 does not help anyone. Needs to go now before more damage is done.

Her and May deciding when are to exit is crazy
Both should have been removed months ago |
|
By:
No chance of her now lasting until 2021.
I spoke to a couple of well heeled Germans two weeks ago and they both said they'd never vote for her again and that she's finished. Her handling of immigration has antaganised everyone. |

Merkel the "mother". The mother of Brexit.
I'm sure that reckeless arrogant woman's actions helped nudge leave over the line. Good riddance, I'm thinking she will be hated for generations by vast amounts of Germans. |

By:
Never mind the Germans, those stupid twonks voted her in. What about the rest of Europe, who didn't, and will live with her folly for ever?
|
|
By:
They voted her in to keep themselves at the top of the heap, they couldn't be expected to foresee her blunder.

I can't understand why Merkel has lost so much support..
Oh wait...her invited guests appear to be abusing their host nation. ![]() Police in Munich have arrested five Afghan asylum seekers after a 15-year-old girl claims she was raped in Munich, days after a similar report in Freiburg. According to Bild the men aged between 20 and 25 preyed on the 'socially challenged' girl after she was groomed by one of their number. News of the assault comes as Angela Merkel's Germany reels from the horrific story of seven Syrian migrants gang-raping an 18-year-old girl on October 14. The Syrians between the ages of 19 and 29, along with a 25-year-old German, were arrested in Freiburg in the south-western German state of Baden-Wuerttebmberg. One of their number is alleged to have provided her with ecstasy before raping her in bushes outside a nightclub and inviting others to join in. The four hour ordeal led to 500 marching through the streets on Monday night as nationalist groups criticised Merkel's liberal border policy. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6337481/Five-Afghans-arrested-allegedly-raping-girl-15-Germany-country-rocked-migrant-crime.html |

I'd deport them without a moment's hesitation, I believe; given a 2nd chance for a new life and they have not grasped it. A message needs to be conveyed to the rest of that community to prevent a repeat.

By:
I'd castrate them first.

That's 12 "promising footballers" identified. They could start a team.

Some of these "politicians" are lucky to be alive?
How none of them have been done in is a mystery to me, a lot of angry people out there and these Politicians never listen on anything? including the welfare state etc. I'm not inciting violence in the slightest |

She offered the hand of friendship and they've chewed it to the bone. I would feel sympathy if her current predicament was unforeseeable, but it was highly likely that there would be huge problems and she was confident enough of overcoming them to risk the future of the continent. Every cloud though, concrete street furniture companies will toast her for ever.

Trying to make up for what happened 70 odd years ago was never going to work, todays people were never involved in Hitlers terrible regime,
thats why they've turned against her, Brazil have voted in a far right president, the yanks voted one in, Hungary have and The Poles are on the March, We voted Brexit because of immigration, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, i can see a pattern emerging here, and it will only get worse, unless The politicians at the top do something Radical, but none of them have the guts, so it'll probably be left to the public. and that won't be nice, whenever people of different religions and race are FORCED to live in each others pocket, theres only One outcome. These politicians never learn ![]() |
