The negotiation was done arse about face.  They should have started out saying we are leaving with no deal and meant it.  The EU would be far more eager to work out a deal if they thought we really intended to do it.

I've said that from the word go. Leave first do a deal later.

Unless they came up with some proposal worth listening to.

Trump told May when he came over ''you're doing it all wrong.''

All she's doing is delaying us leaving in the hope that something turns up to stop us.

He raises a point which I've thought about often before:
Given we already have same standards as stuff made/sold from the EU, and it's OUR decision on what to do when lorries come off ships from the EU, why do we need to suddenly check everything with a tooth comb and create 30 mile tail backs etc when it's the same stuff we waved through the day before? It just sounds ridiculous, can't see a reason for it.

If the EU want to be d1cks the other way, up to them, but it would be noted.

I like this story also on the site:
https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/did-750000-people-really-attend-the-peoples-vote-march/

The authorities have stopped counting people at marches, so the organisers just make the numbers up.

It's not like there is an incentive for them to vastly over inflate the figures. Well apart from the huge incentive to hugely over inflate the figures.

Biased BBC and the rest of the vile remoaner media never question the figures though do they.

The first thing about negotiation is location.

May and the Brexit team should have stayed put and said 'you know where we are'.

Why would a Remainer care about this kind of proposal, which is what May is.

The Spectator has love of my life Isabel Hardman writing for it, I should sign up myself!

Is subscribing to a magazine someone writes for breach of a stalking order?

No reason I need to ask but .. LaughLaughLaughLaughWhoopsWinkLove

I'm with the PM of Australia. The EU is a bloated monopolistic instis with a large majority of unequal economically-sick members. Extinction soonish, I believe.

The EU has always been an experiment.  Even those at the heart of it keep their fingers crossed that it'll work out Ok.
