It all started with a nice smooth gentle classical start to the day, with arabesques, gymnopedies and gnossiennes!!!  Then it all went wrong!!!   A very gentle orchestration of 'paint it black' sneaked up on me.  It was well mangled and you could just make it out as one of the Stone's numbers, as I remarked to my girlfriend.  Reached for the original on utube and that was it.  3 hours of deep purple via whitesnake - jon lord performances live and now  currently having my ear drums drilled out on
led zep's stairway to heaven.  Help !!  can't stop listening.
Mercury's live aid performance keeps appearing in the column on the left   - dare I click on!!!??
I won't start work till 1200 at least at this rate!!!!!!!!!

Coverdale Deep Purple better than Gillan?

I think there's a strong case.

are you high? Gillan era was Deep P at their finest. Let's leave Coverdale for Whitesnake and then ignore that rubbish

Dio Sabbath was better than Ozzy Sabbath.

In some circles I'd be hung, burned alive or possibly crucified upside down for that LaughLaughTongue OutWhoops

But I'll risk saying it. What's worst that can happen, I Die Young?

you have gone radio rentals there. Dio was a jobbing vocalist with rainbow & sabbath but the eponymous album could not have been made with Dio.
Or SBS. Ozzy was the heart & soul of the band. drugs made the band and ruined them in equal measure

Dio - "jobbing Vocalist".
At least he could sing, something Ozzy can barely be accused of!

He was a good looking young lad. A bit of the Harry Styles about him.
(That's him on the left, raising an Elvis like smile and breaking teenage girls hearts).

RJD was an excellent singer & yes more proficient than Ozzy but Ozzy is a rock star. it is never about pure ability in rock music

Gillan was a rock star & a brilliant vocalist
