I tried once.a few years ago I had a crazy lucky night at the golden nugget on Shaftesbury ave ended up coming out with about 9 k.wandered down to Charing Cross station where there were a few homeless outside asking for a cup of tea.got chatting to one fella who was fairly well spoken & asked him how he’d got in this situation.told me he’d had a decent job,got made redundant wife started affair & kicked him out,he hit the bottle & his life had spiralled out of control.he told me if he could get a break he had a mate who worked in a hotel who could get him a job but he needed somewhere to live to sort himself out.feeling full of bonhomie not to mention Dom Perpignan I reached in to my jacket pocket for one of the sealed packets with £1k in.i told him he could have it if he promised to use it for deposit for a room & some new clothes, with tears in his eyes he took the money &said I’d restored his faith in human nature.
Walkin down to the station a few days later the same guy spotted me approaching,he picked up his stuff & believe me he would have usain bolt a run for his money that night.

Never give money to the people who say they are homeless, it's a professional career choice for many, you'll never really know who is really homeless and who isn't, at least that's how accountant tells me to thinkLaugh

I know you’re right Scandinavia but the combination of the euphoria of a big win & the booze probably clouded my judgement.i must admit I did feel very happy & peaceful for a couple of days after though.
