Relationships with Women

Freddy Mercury ?

He seemed to be able to look on the bright side of it

I have lots of woman friends but since I split with the wife I haven't wanted to get "involved" again. I probably should but even after nearly a year it is still too raw.
I don't meet a lot of woman i don't know as i work from home & I'm too old skool to go down the dating site route.
Maybe I should change that way of thinking?

nothing wrong being single.looking at it from the other side i do not think i could have another full on relationship i am divorced and i love being single being able to do and go where i want when i want.as long as my two daughters are ok that's all that matters to me

listening to friends both female and male going on about their relationships moaning and groaning about their partners all the time makes me think that i am better off alone.

you would sh@g donald trump tho

I agree with that nellie regarding couples whining and moaning, plus the playing games part (esp with social media) would wind me up proper

I honestly don't think most people nowadays fully understand intimacy either, I bet most under 25s (esp that age group) haven't experienced true intimacy/love ever

Thankfully never had the experience of the 3 Rings of Matrimony- the Engagement Ring, The Wedding Ring and the Suffer Ring!

agree with social media the amount of times i here he or she was face booking someone.the other is they check each others phones i find funny.

i never said i would not sleep with anyone i said that i did not want another full on relationship.nothing wrong with a bit of fun as long as both parties knows that's all it is.
sleeping with someone does not mean you have to move in with each other after one night.

and not even because he is president would make me

Very valid point re intimacy.  It's really tough for young people now imo. it was never easy but i have 3 children who are 20, 18 & 16 & there first exposure to sex was internet porn,
I know I should have policed it better but when you have laptops & desk tops & ipads it is dificult to keep up
they all admit it screwed there way of thinking about relationships and a false view of sexual relationships. Your girlfriend won't have 20 minute orgasms & would rather you didn't
**** in her face and your boyfriend probably wont have an enormous wang. It's such a weird false world.
I always told them it was the difference between wwe wresting and actual fighting.

thing is kids today are brought up with the internet and all this social media.i guess most of us on here were brought up before mobiles and internet.telling youngsters my era used phone boxes to say we are going to be late home they look at you as if you are mad

I tend not to sleep with people - I am usually awake when I play.

they get very stressed out about it. way more than i ever did. i fumbled about until i got it right. they think they have the playbook

who are 20, 18 & 16 & there first exposure to sex was internet porn

And there is the problem, young lads (under 21) seem to think intimacy is that on the screen

True intimacy isn't whipping as you say northanlite whipping it out ("pull out") and throwing it in her face

I couldn't do that to a woman without feeling some disgust and shame, its not only disgusting but degrading to the woman, who you supposedly are "in love" with, she's most likely going to bare you children ffs.

Women are no better though, its them who need to pick the right man, a man who will stay with them and provide for her and the children

Girls need to be taught to knee lads in the balls should they try and grab them

I'll be telling my niece when she starts school, should some lad start pulling her hair and trying to grab her to give him a good kick, because it starts from a young age, and teaching our kids right from wrong starts very early.

i know lassies who have gone on internet dates where after one meeting the guy sends a picture of his junk, wtf would make anyone think that is a good idea???
it is a functional asset but rarely aesthetically pleasing........imo

agree with all the above but women can just be as bad as the men with the selfies of themselves.revenge porn is also very popular these days with jilted lovers

what is "revenge porn" i am very naive.

i can take a reasonable guess

i think you know

the mind boggles.

revenge porn has its own helpline for victims of this

that is an awful thing to do. I'm very much of the mind that everything is private. I love woman & i would never disparage them.
This may surprise you but my mother was a woman,

To actually answer the OP's question I have been on my own since 2005 and I'm quite content to be honest. Occasionally I may feel a little lonely but that is short-lived. Loose women have come and gone and that usually suits both us fine; no hang ups at all.

Yes, I'd say it has been positive for me (to date)

We have a lot of 17-19 year old part timers at work, boy are they warped.

most of the girls have shocking pics on web sites and their idea of flirting is a dirty pic via text

I'm dealing with it at the moment too.
we have whats app groups for various jobs for work.
y wife also works with me and one of the young lads tried it on with her.
she politely said that's she was not interested the next thing she had ws a video of him
wannnnkin himself off.

really rather vile yet to them normal.

dicpics have exploded in the last few years. Its not just the younguns either. Ask Kyle Lafferty

its crazy, lady on five live this morning moaning about it too.

seriously? what a fekkin maniac

most of them do it, at the xmas party they were sending to each other.

really bad I'm sure their parents would go nuts.

oops quoted the wrong post but still, what a fekkin maniac. I'm really naive about this madness. I think I may be a better person than i give myself credit for

yes northern he had moved to a different branch I was asked if I wanted to put in a formal complaint.
he had just bought a flat with his girlfriend to save her suffering I said no but just wanted higher managers to
know the situation.

Anyway he was sexting lots of ladies and his g/f found out so she booted him out.

the little runt moved back to our store.

I see him for about 30 seconds a night and I really have to control myself as you can guess id like to belt him on the nose.

the plus side is its really opened my eys to how bad things are so ill be able to
do as much as I can to protect my 2 daughters and educate them on proper relationships.

Apparently a few times he also messaged my wife asking for pics, it sounds bad but I'm kinda hoping he
tries that again as ill then put in the formal complaint.

think it will get a lot worse before it gets better.luckily my two girls are grown up and both seem happy happy in their relationships.i feel for the proper parents trying to bring teenagers up properly these days

as long as the kids are grounded and happy that is all that matters nellie. i don't think we give them enough credit. we worry for them but they can navigate their way through the nonsense.

agree northernlite

i put up a post yesterday & got one of my own children's ages wrong. how appalling is that
my only excuse is that the years roll by so quickly these days

Was it really a mistake? Or did you just fancy a quiet holiday?
