Yes there were a lot of parallels to a real life abduction case.i thought the series was pretty good,whereas most of these dramas start well then taper off,this one started slowly then got stronger.

how did his mother no and what if any was the significance of repeating the scene of putting something in the fridge, and who in their right mind over the age of 2 puts an adults medicine in the same bottle as a childs medicine without labling them, and surely airports would allow you to take medicines like this on board without resorting to the 100mm clear bottle rules or was this a dig at airlines to show accidents can happen because of their rules,
