Marks and Spencer advent calendar.

Costs £35 (you also have to spend £35 on clothes or homeware) and includes £250+ worth of cosmetics/make-up products.

If you google this and look at the Daily Mirror site, there is a list of the products included.

You don't seem to see advent calendars in the same abundance as you did 20 years ago. I think their days are numbered.

Well, prompted by this thread, I did a quick reccy and there are a number of shops offering similar products - ranging from £15 up.

No idea of the value or otherwise of these, but I'd guess the M & S offering is worth it.

The Boots advent calendar is £42 and is sold out on their website but is available in some stores.

They are currently fetching around £60 on ebay. After the £6 commission and postage costs, you're not going to get rich.

If I were to buy the M&S offering (not on sale until Nov 1) with a view to reselling, I would sell the products individually.

Some cunning entrepeneur should do a "Brexit" advent calendar counting down to the big day, 39 boxes in it and each contains a little cheque for 1 billion and a reason to hate the EU. Final box plays GSTQ and a little EU flag and a box of matches.

Fantastic present for the remoaner in your life :P
