So says the head of a government department.

''Professor Alan Manning from the Migration Advisory Committee  has said that low-skilled migrants have cost the UK money''

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/7457152/migrant-workers-cost-uk-money/

No report on the BBC website that I can see, or on the news bulletins.

Are they trying to hush this up or what?

Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) chair Professor Alan Manning said low-skilled migrants had COST the Treasury money – as they take more benefits and consume more public services than they pay in tax

No **** Sherlock. How the open door mob ever convinced themselves that any other conclusion was possible is beyond me, they like to think themselves cleverer than most.

Net fiscal positive was the cry used by the open door brigade. And the BBC cried it from the rooftops. Now the narrative has changed the BBC don't want to know.
I can't find a report anywhere from the BBC.

That article is from 18 September, and doesn't mention Professor Alan Manning's comments about the costs of migration.

European legislation means that an EU migrant working in the UK can claim benefits in this country for children they have left behind.

Can we claim anything if we Swan around a few of These Countries ?

Farage said on his show, ''if the comments from Professor Alan Manning from the Migration Advisory Committee had been positive about immigration, then the message would have been splashed all over the front pages of the Observer and the Times.''

And the BBC would have run it all week, but instead his report to MPs only gets reported in the Sun.

''And he (Professor Manning) told MPs that business groups warning border restrictions would be “disastrous” were overstating the case.
