And is it just me who finds this film good? everyone else I've asked about find it "slow and boring"

Good film with a good story behind it imo

Not many films today get my vote (2013 is fairly recent for me)

I liked it as well SS, I've seen it twice and would give it a fairly decent score of 6.8/10. On a similar vein 'The Martian' with Matt Damon is also watchable and I'd give that film the same score.

Last filum i went to see at the pictures gladiator before that (so a regular)
and only a 3/4 from me far too far fetched
and unbelieveable imo.

slow and boring ???

I sort of enjoyed it. But Its almost without doubt the most ridiculous story...

According to a guy who had been into space he said it was quite realistic?

I do think the space walk to the ISS is a bit iffy though, I mean that jet pack didn't half through some miles CrazyLaugh

It tells a story of how someone would feel in that scenario imo, on your own in the pitch black in space? she did a good job portraying that imo, I can't imagine what I'd do in the same scenario, I suppose you'd have zero choice but to try and do what she did though.

I loved it! Rare for Hollywood to have a blockbuster with only one character for most of a film. Lots of silences too. None of these shouty shouty nonsense with silly action scenes that never end. Great music too.

Interstellar very powerful too.

i saw gravity in 3d at the imax and really enjoyed it.

it felt like i was there, in the film.

funny ending though! what was that about?

That's why I enjoyed it, injera

No over sexed women, no silly explosions to make up for a lack of any real tension, no ott swearing either which was good, the swearing in it is understanble in the situation

The only real problem I have with it is when Clooney's character decides to sacrifice himself, when all Bullock had to do was grab a hold of the wires on the legs?, or Clooney himself couldn't just pull himself in?

But an enjoyable film imo and we need more films that try to implement real tension rather than fancy explosions

The ending is a bit weird but I think it fits in with what it would be like to survive, crawling out of a lake weak as p*ss lol but relief at surviving as well.

Not a PATCH on Ted 2.

I found Martian very cheesy. No character development so I couldn't care less about him being stuck there. In fact he seemed fine with his potatoes and his music.
