Fck me...stressful ain't the word. Finally, FINALLY exchanged and completed on buying our new house and selling our current house(that was last week). Our solicitors were absolute knuts.Never returned phone calls, didn't even start the process of searches etc on our new house until a fortnight ago even though they had all the paperwork required way back in July and basically have done fck all.
Even after exchanging today we had the added stress of being told our new house was virtually uninsurable due to it being a flood risk which according to all our research it most certainly wasn't. We were quoted £980 for buildings insurance which was an absolute joke. After countless phone calls eventually managed to get it insured for £227 which included contents as well.
Lets hope the removal van turns up on the 17th because i can't stand much more of this.Never EVER going to move again..EVER!!!
i always thought when people said how stressful moving home was, they meant the actual moving,i found that quite enjoyable but dealing with estate agents and solicitors could send you crazy, could certainly put you off moving again and they charge loads for not seeming to do very much

Ibba just try using an online estate agent and you may well be surprised at how useless they can be,often just an empty building stocked with several novices and one of experience trying to address those who shout loudest, get a complicated sale or buy in the chain and you are truly f....d.
