Bottle of Bacchus from the New Hall vineyard in Purleigh (absolute nectar), hunk of stilton, and a few slices of haslet. Ooh La La

Wouldn't disagree with any of that, but what was the question againWink

nb the Bacchus from the vineyard next to me (in Sussex) won overall best white wine in the English Wine Awards a couple of years ago.

Original Poster - "Goods from the EU we can't live without".
Lady Faye Verrit - "I wasn't expecting to see a white wine here...."

Doh!!  Still each to his, or her, own.

The fact that it's only 10.5 abv suggests that it's not exactly rammed with fruit, though that is true of many whites...

No doubt it's probably very quaffable, like many German "lightweight" wines, and ideal for a pleasant summer meal al fresco,
(it is from a German grape after all)!

If I see it anywhere, no doubt curiosity will get the better of me, and will try it with some Whitebait, of which I have plenty....

Europeans make terrible biscuits but in all fairness the Austrians make terrific cakes. Vienna cake shops are like being in Heaven.
