I admire your optimism of it only being "a simple matter."

so we need a electric generator satellite dish sitting in earths orbit, and a few guys to harness the 1000 miles an hour power spins into the generator and transferred back down to an electric power grids back down on earth, you would fill ten football field size grids with electricity with that power in a day.then the guys could have the rest of the year off.
and nobody would have to pay anything and we would have power to move mountains for ever and all free.and nobody owns the spin of the earth. ![]() |

they use solar power and ocean power at the moment so why not earth power.

How come if it's going that fast when I jump I end up in the same spot ?

Maybe a big dynamo like we used to have on our bikes as kids ?

yes, they use wind power and river power to create perpetual motion and they have perpetual power zooming by, outside their front door. travelling at 1000 miles an hour and they overlook it and look towards the sun for their answers.

If the satellite is extracting energy from the earth by some force or other there will be a reciprocal force on the satellite. What will keep it in place?

come to think of it some guy in America is offering 100 thousand dollars to anyone who can show him perpetual motion working on earth(PM =Something that creates its own energy by itself),but its the magnetic fields that cause the spin on the earth's axes ,so the earth itself that is creating its own spin,so Mr America if you are reading this you can send the 100 grand check to Brass c/o betfair

the space station and the mars probes generate their own power(solar power)but probes on mars had to go into hibernation because they were running out of energy a few months back but if someone could harness the energy of planet spins that could go forever. At the moment they only use the orbit of planets to catapult the probes in the correct direction ,but now Brass has come up with an idea for probes to refuel on their journey to the edge of the universe.

Some say it's the stars that move relative to a stationary Earth and not the other way around.

The source or cost of power won't make any difference to users, they'll still charge us what we can afford to pay.

my idea is that you send a probe to the edge of the universe(like the voyagers)but voyager is running out of battery and will pack up very soon, but had voyager has a little Brass turbine connected to it ,it could have parked close to a spinning planet and the power of the spinning planet would generate the turbine blades that would power the battery and the voyager could blast off again to continue its journey with a full battery.
i like the idea of name of a BRASS turbine ![]() |

Dr, anyone in America who comes out with the idea of free electricity for everyone usually ends up dead.So nobody in america talks about it unless they have their hand over their mouth.its very strange but true.

Brassy, it's the spin of the earth which generates the magnetic field not the other way around.
The tidal energy you mentioned also ultimately comes from the rotational energy of the earth. Over time the day length has lengthened as the earth's rotational speed slows as energy is absorbed by the tidal waves, in the land as well as the sea and also on the moon. By harnessing tidal energy to produce electricity we would be exploiting some of the rotational energy of the earth before it is dissipated as heat. |

if i lift up next doors garage door and plug in long extension i have free electricity.
are the yankers hunting me down? |

If the electricity is supplied for free, who is going to pay for the magic spaceship to generate it?
If you let them sell the stuff I expect Richard Branson or that rude Tesla chap in America would have a crack at it. |

Good God, don't let that sanctimonious bustard get his hands on it, he snaffles up more than enough taxpayer money already.

brassneck, if you've got a long enough drill in the garage, you could drill down to the magma level and set up a thermo-electric plant totally free!
Much easier than sending equipment into space, imo. |
