I'll give you a clue. This atrocious album (a misguided vanity project might be more appropriate) followed a string of classics.

Journey Through the Secret Life of Plants by Stevie Wonder perhaps.

WE HAVE A WINNER What an unmitigated piece of garbage this album truly was, the 'soundtrack' to a film that about half a dozen people saw. . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Wonder%27s_Journey_Through_%22The_Secret_Life_of_Plants%22 Here's the only half decent track. . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PveWXfUZEJg |

Yes after Talking Book, Innervisions, Songs in the Key of Life and Fulfillingness' First Finale which all had classic tracks this one was a pile of crap.

Legend has it that back in 1979, when the album was first about to be released, there were some copies made where either the vinyl or the protected sleeves were sprayed with a scent to make the product smell like a flower. (A bit like when copies of 'Strawberry Letter 23' went out a few years prior with a strawberry fragrance).
Alas, it was discovered that the scent for 'Secret Life of Plants' actually attacked and damaged the vinyl. A mercy killing maybe? |

Never played the whole album, playe first couple of tracks and thought lets put this one on the shelf.
You've piqued my interest, I may give it a go this afternoon!!! |
