Right in front of me is an enormous conker tree but nothing fallen yet!Last year I collected half of a Tesco carrier bag, for my grandson and his school buddies.I'll have to ask him, but he hasn't said anything about them being banned at school!Almost ripping your fingers off is character building, together with being made to play rugby on a frozen solid pitch, and none of thisprotective padding on the posts, as even though a couple of kids broke their collar bones, and one kid was knocked out, and swallowed his tongue, which must have been very harrowing for those who were there.Despite all of that, it's astonishing that nobody thought of doing anything about it!
They'd banned all the ball games when I was there though which was 1998 I think, conkers were banned in 2012,
It was a parent complaining about her lads swollen fingers that got them banned as well
Kids go over the top its that simple, it takes that sort of thing for them to wise up
