Two people have appeared in court charged with the female genital mutilation (FGM) of a three-year-old girl.

The man, 42 and woman, 36, face five charges each - including possession of extreme pornographic images.

The pair, both from east London but are not being named, are accused of FGM and failing to protect a girl from risk of genital mutilation.

They appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court on Friday.

The man, from Ghana, is also accused of possessing indecent videos of a child, while the woman, a Uganda national, is accused of distributing an indecent video of children.

I wouldn't be so hasty to dismiss Huddersfield for relegation Reynard, Cardiff to me look the bankers to go and there are several other sides sure to be in the mix and Brighton would be my choice at a decent price to get relegated as well.

Interestingly my first thread on the 31 Huddersfield arrests disappeared.

I was talking to my son, who did jury duty against one, several months ago and he is on the latest list (there had been a previous arrest of 27).

I asked if there were any Asians on the jury and he said there wasn't.

A little research by me shows the population as being 16% Asian which, when applied to the 12 jury members, suggests that there should have been 1.92
of them as Asian!

I think there are two lots, LFV, totalling c. 60

yes trilby, there are two lists and I have them here...

First of 27 and recently 31.

The one where my son was on the jury, earlier this year is on both lists,  but it must have been the first one that is relevant.

He was charged with one of attempted rape of a girl 13-15, and three counts of rape against a girl 13-15!

How the hell did he get off with a suspended sentence? He should have been suspended on the end of a rope (imo)!

I hope he has to face trial again!
